 Home Up

May 26  Chimney Rock Resort - Bardstown 60 miles

We are staying at "My Old Kentucky Home State Park" tonight. Today was a nice ride, we cycling most of the way with Shirley.

We past the homestead of Abe Lincoln this afternoon and called in for a look. He proposed to his wife in front of a huge fire place in the house if anyone is interested.

We had a fire tonight at the camp site. Everyone sat round and told all sorts of stories.  We are traveling with a great bunch of people from such a varied background so there is always someone able to tell us a good tale.

Tonight we are eating spaghetti and hamburger meat, (mince meat) that gives us protein from the meat and carbs from the spaghetti. Our cooked meal has to be simple yet satisfying. The two people who go get the food each night bring back a huge amount of food.

I have noticed that my food intake has increased dramatically, but this afternoon as we got into town I was really low in sugar and trembly, I ate three chocolate bars and drank a bottle of water to get back to normal,  I will have to be more careful and ensure I eat more often. That will be difficult because I seem to be eating all the time already
