Jul 12 Lolo - LayoverToday is a rest day. Up until now we have done things on our rest days but we made a conscious effort not to do anything today. We watched TV, took a bath, had a nap, and cleaned and checked the bike. I thought some might be interested in the tools we carry. Basically we have a Multi-Tool with ring spanners, chain breaker, hex keys, levers and screw drivers. We have a Leatherman with cork screw (wine for medicinal purposes only) bottle opener, good knife blades, small fork, scissors, pliers and screw drivers. We also carry another set of hex keys, spare chain, chain link, tyre levers, cleaning brush and small oil bottle. There is some duplication here but not much and so far we have not been found wanting for any tools. Some one asked me what mechanical skills are needed to do this trip and I suggest the biker should be able to repair/change tyres and innertubes, replace spokes, repair spokes. Went to bed early for an early start in the morning.
