July 18 Brownlee Dam - Richland 46mi

LAST STATE YIPPEE

Last night evening meal had been limited due to the shop not selling much but we figured in the morning we are not too far from a restaurant and will eat there.

As we crossed over  the bridge from Brownlee into the State of Oregon our last State.

About 13 miles to Pine Creek would give us breakfast. The Adventure Cycling Map shows the location of restaurant although they don't always show all of them.  We got to Pine Creek to find the restaurant does not do breakfast, the shop next door sold confectionery so we had to settle for iced cakes and coffee, that was okay for me but Trish cannot eat anything with Cinnamon in it , guess what they all had cinnamon in them.  A 3 day old muesli bar and sweet bun would have to do as the next stop was another 16 miles away after a big climb.

We stopped at Halfway for brekki , Phill reckons it was the worst omelet he had ever eaten worse than his own cooking and that must be saying something, ha-ha.

The Idaho Snake River - fed from the Brown lee Dam was teaming with fish we followed the river for about 11 miles and watched the fish almost jumping out of the water.
