Williamsburg Virginia May 3Arrived by taxi from Richmond VA about an hours drive. We are staying at the Williamsburg Hospitality House for a couple of nights comfort before we start our 92 days of tenting.
Williamsburg once the capital of Virginia from 1699 to 1780 has been faithfully restored. The Colonial Williamsburg is a must to see there is over 88 original and hundreds of reconstructed buildings. There are people dressed in costumes reenacting the past and lots of historical interpreters who will share with you their knowledge of history. The gift and confectionery shops are amazing and of course Trish had to sample the goods. Delicious
Best toffee apple we have tasted, yes Phill help eat it. We had the caramel one but as you can see there are white/dark/milk & mixed chocolate ones to chose from decisions decisions!!! The bike turned up today it went via Dallas to get here. Will take to the bike shop tomorrow to get put together.
