| May 6 Williamsburg to Yorktown 30miToday was the Shake Down day, which means we all pack our bikes with all our kit that we are going to take with us and then we do a ride which we rode from Williamsburg to Yorktown to dip our back tyre into the ocean at the start of the trip (east) and the front one when we get to the other side (west). Before we did this we were invited to lunch at The Grace Episcopal Church were we meet the most friendliest hospitable people I have ever come across these people went out of their way to make us so welcome that we were all so overwhelmed it was incredible, as you can see by the photos the spread of food was superb. Elsa the organizer of this first and future hospitality for all Adventure Cyclists was so bubbly and vibrant along with all the other people made us immediately feel at home away from home. Carleton the Priest welcomed us with a few wise words which gave us all food for thought. All the people from the church came down to the waters edge to witness the wetting of the tyres, I must say a excellent feeling and a fond farewell from our new found friends at The Grace Episcopal Church
